Raw and virgin hair extensions are both human hair. However, the easiest way to understand the difference is to think of raw hair like your own natural hair without chemicals, colors/dyes or treatments. Raw hair just simply means it is unprocessed hair which has not been chemically processed or steam pressed. Where as, virgin hair extensions have been steam pressed for the purpose of creating uniform patterns in either curly, straight or wavy textures.
To determine which is better is a matter of personal choice. However, here's a few things to consider:
- As previously stated raw unprocessed hair still has the cuticle intact; it has not been chemically processed. The hair is also usually from a single donor. One advantage is that unprocessed hair lasts longer than processed hair; this way, you get a greater value, as it's not damaged hair.
- Raw hair is the most purest and natural form of hair available on the market. Raw hair is great in that the quality is top knotch and can literally last you years.
- Our virgin hair is top tier because it is also sourced from one donor, providing durability and giving it the ability to last you years as well.
We provide quality in both our virgin and raw extensions so when it comes to choosing, it's only because of personal preference. If you like uniform or identical curls/texture, we recommend virgin hair. If you like natural looking curls, waves or simply texture that is as diverse as your own natural hair, we recommend raw hair extensions.
